So, what are Heatlogs?

Heatlogs are man-made logs which are often referred to as Sawdust or Heat Briquettes. They are made from compressed sawdust wood waste. Luckily this waste can be re-purposed and compresses into fuel for your stove.

Heatlogs are an extremely efficient fuel with a high heat output.

What are heatlogs made from?

Heat logs are made from a wide range of materials. These include Hardwood, Softwood, Straw, Paper, Bracken and other foliage. They usually contain little or no additives, which is great for the environment.

What benefits come from burning Heatlogs?

The logs can be made from a lot of different materials. Hardwoods heatlogs are usually the best quality.

They produce a very high amount of heat and are especially good for putting a good amount of heat in your room quickly.

They have a low moisture content below 10% in most cases, which is good.

Because the logs are so compressed, they will burn much longer. They are also very compact, which allows for easy storage in smaller spaces.

Are there any disadvantages to burning Heatlogs?

It’s important to keep your heatlogs dry. They will be quite absorbent and will take on moisture quickly once opened.

Store them in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. This will ensure they are in tip-top condition, ready for burning.

Please note: Heat logs often expand to over double their original size when burnt. We recommend you break your logs into smaller pieces before burning.
